Suunto D9tx receives the Fennia Prize Honorary Mention 2012

Tuesday, 19 June 2012

SUUNTO has earned a prestigious Fennia Prize Honorary Mention for the stylish ocean-inspired design of the Suunto D9tx, the first wristop trimix dive computer.

The prize is aimed at encouraging firms to make “innovative and broad use of design in product development”. The Suunto D9tx is designed with the clarity and simplicity for which Suunto is renowned. Its intriguingly shaped bracelet is inspired by the wavy surface of the ocean; the frame’s side pieces are shaped like the outline of a dolphin’s nose while the titanium housing with scratch resistant sapphire glass form an ideal combination for diving.

CEO and President of Suunto, Mikko Moilanen, comments: “We’re thrilled to receive this recognition. We take great pride in producing premium dive computers that meet the high demands of both style and function. The Suunto D9tx is an elegant watch yet also an extremely advanced dive computer.”
