Suunto D9tx wins 2013 Tauchen Award

Tuesday, 12 March 2013

Suunto has won a Tauchen Award for the second year in a row. The D9tx has been voted the best dive computer by readers of the German magazine.

"We're thrilled to win another Tauchen Award," comments Mika Holappa, Dive Business Unit Director at Suunto. "We have a heritage of pioneering diving instruments and superior product design. We'd like to say thanks to all the readers who voted for us."

It is the latest accolade for the Suunto D9tx, which earlier last year earned the prestigious Fennia Prize Honorary Mention for its design. The D9tx also received the DIVER Award 2011 for Product of the Year by British DIVER magazine, as well as a coveted Red Dot Product Design award.

The Suunto D9tx is the world's first all-in-one wristop trimix dive computer and boasts gas switching between up to eight gases and an easy-to-read 3D tilt-compensated compass making it the perfect companion for adventurous divers.

The Tauchen award ceremony was held in Nachtresidenz, Düsseldorf on January 24, 2013. Last year Suunto was voted the best dive computer brand.
