Vetus Coupling Type Uniflex (13 and 16)

Exact alignment and concentric installation of a propeller shaft in a boat is not easy and often not even possible. VETUS flexible couplings of the Uniflex type solve these problems.
Uniflex couplings have extra features that permit a misalignment of 2°, so that they will centre the shaft on the gearbox, resulting in an ideal flexible coupling for a propeller shaft with a self- aligning bearing and an engine on flexible supports.
These couplings are axially and radially secured against shearing off. When the propeller shaft is connected to the engine at an angle of 2°, then the maximum admissible number of revolutions is 1500 r.p.m. on the shaft.
